The Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority (ACARA) is the independent authority which has responsibility for developing a national curriculum, the national assessment program, national data collection and reporting as part of the implementation of the Melbourne Declaration on Educational Goals for Young Australians.

Curriculum Framework review
Specific recommendations from a review of the Curriculum Framework (2009) by Professor David Andrich are guiding the Western Australian implementation of the Australian Curriculum.
