VET industry specific courses
The Curriculum Council is in the process of developing VET industry specific courses. These are courses where a whole training qualification is delivered and assessed according to industry-specific standards with a additional workplace learning required and an optional exam.
To meet VET course requirements and achieve all the course unit credit attached to a qualification, students must follow the course structure, attain the required units of competency and fulfil the work placement requirements.
The Council is requesting feedback on the following draft courses.
- Community Services (VET industry specific)
- Primary Industries (VET industry specific)
A survey has been designed to receive feedback from teachers.
There are five (Primary Industries) or six (Community Services) questions to respond to on this on line survey.

The Council will consider all feedback in the refinement of the courses. The feedback period finishes 14 July 2008.
