Online Professional Development
The online professional development program is intended to support those teachers who may be new to a course or to the state; those teachers who have not had the opportunity to participate in other Council professional development; or those who would like to reinforce knowledge and understandings gained in prior PD. Participants need access to a computer that is connected to the Internet so that they can participate in the program anywhere and anytime.
Each course comprises eight (8) modules including planning, assessment, examinations and grading. Courses contain course-specific content and resources used in the Council PD and activities specifically designed for the online environment. The program also contains tools like a reflective journal and a discussion forum for collegial support and technical assistance. The modules can be completed in your own time, at your own pace. Each module does not need to be completed in one sitting and you can return at anytime.
