Professional Development 2009

Monday 20 July has been designated as a day for teachers of senior secondary courses from Department of Education and Training (DET), Catholic Education Office (CEO) and Association of Independent Schools of Western Australia (AISWA) schools to focus on assessment, grading and standards for new courses.
There will be optional PD for nine courses:
The focus of the PD sessions will be assessment, grading and standards.
A letter about registrations has been sent to schools.
Teachers wanting to attend a PD session need to complete a registration form, available from the course links above, and fax to (08) 9273 6360.

End of year activities
The Curriculum Council will organise activities in mid-November and early December for teachers to participate in day long sessions for planning senior school programs for 2010 or focus on new content.
Details of activities will be communicated to schools at the start of semester 2.
Online PD
The Curriculum Council’s online professional development will be expanded to provide support to teachers of all courses. All assessment support materials will be available to teachers through the online professional development website.
