Term 4 2009 professional development events
A number of professional development events are available to teachers throughout Term 4 to further support implementation of the WACE courses. The Curriculum Council has worked in partnership with the Department of Education and Training, Association of Independent Schools WA, the Catholic Education Office, universities and professional organisations to coordinate these events. In response to feedback from teachers and schools, the professional development events will focus as appropriate on new syllabus content; assessment practices, both school based and external, and strategies for planning and teaching.

Online PD
The Curriculum Council’s online professional development will be expanded to provide support to teachers of all courses. All assessment support materials will be available to teachers through the online professional development website.
