2005 was the first year of implementation. The first WACE examination for Aviation were conducted in 2006.

Course Summary
The Aviation course provides students with the opportunity to investigate the importance of aviation to our society and learn the skills and knowledge needed to make informed decisions on issues relating to aviation and associated industries. In the process, they learn about the social and environmental impacts of aviation. Students taking Aviation to Stage 3 can learn to fly and manage aircraft.
