Achievements in WACE course units, Curriculum Council subjects, VET and endorsed programs
Course units
To assist with the collection of student results in course units, instructions relating to data transfer are available for providers using the following:
SIS instructions for extracting student achievements – section 7.1.1 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009
MAZE instructions for extracting student achievements – section 7.2.1 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009 (see also Appendix 3)
Excel instructions for extracting student achievements – section 7.3.1 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009.
Curriculum Council subjects
To assist with the collection of student results in subjects, instructions relating to data transfer are available for providers using the following:
SIS instructions for extracting student achievements – sections 7.1.2 and 7.1.3 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009
MAZE instructions for extracting student achievements – section 7.2.2 and 7.2.3 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009 (see also Appendix 3)

VET (including qualifications)
To assist with the collection of student results in VET and qualification achieved, instructions relating to data transfer are available for providers using the following:

Endorsed programs
To assist with the collection of student results in endorsed programs achieved, instructions relating to data transfer are available for providers using the following:

Uploading files into SIRS
Instructions for uploading the achievement file and verifying the achievement into the Student Information Records System (SIRS) are as follows:
Uploading student achievements – section 7.4 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009
Verifying student achievements – section 7.5 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009
Identifying missing achievements – section 7.6 in Section 7 of the WACE Procedures Manual 2009.
Achievements in all course units completed during the year, E code subjects, VET units of competency and endorsed programs for Year 12 students must be completed and uploaded into SIRS by Monday 2 November 2009. Also, achievements in E code subjects for Year 10 and 11 students must be uploaded into SIRS by Monday 2 November 2009.
VET qualifications achieved by Year 12 students must be uploaded into SIRS by Tuesday 24 November 2009.
Year 10 and 11 achievement data for course units, subjects, VET units of competency and qualifications and endorsed programs must be completed and uploaded into SIRS by Wednesday 9 December 2009.
All data transfers from schools to the Curriculum Council must be electronic.
