TEE Examiners' Reports

An Examiners' Report is published for each subject at the completion of the annual Tertiary Entrance Examinations. Written by a member of the Examining Panel, this report provides valuable feedback to schools, students and the Curriculum Council regarding:

• the development of the paper; its balance of questions across the syllabus;
• the rationale for certain controversial questions; and
• candidate performance in the examination.

It also points out strengths and weaknesses and contains suggestions for candidate improvement. The marking guide, prepared for markers, is also provided, however the document may have been substantially amplified by discussion held at pre-marking meetings. Although not intended as a set of model answers, nor exhaustive as regards alternative answers, it represents a standard of response that examiners deemed sufficient to earn full marks.
